Abstract

In this case study, the chaplain reflects on their role and response to the Hamas attack in Israel in 2023. They serve a small, regional college with a student body that has different political views, though political conversations are not often at the forefront of the campus community. This case study explores how such a context resulted in a different engagement with the events in the Middle East than institutions with more public demonstrations.
